RVO Roundtable Sessions- Future Proofing the Kenyan Feed Sector - Fostering a Sustainable Feed Sector in East Africa

With a strong foundation laid by the FeedTechKenya impact cluster, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) continues to champion innovation and collaboration in East Africa’s feed sector. This initiative focuses on fostering sustainable growth, uniting stakeholders, and exploring alternative protein sources to enhance the local feed industry.

Key Interventions

Roundtable Sessions:

Two annual roundtable sessions will serve as a platform to align initiatives and foster collaboration among public and private stakeholders.
These sessions will address key challenges, share best practices, and identify opportunities for innovation in the feed value chain.

Stakeholder Engagement:

The project will engage over 50 stakeholders, including policymakers, industry experts, and private sector players, to create a unified vision for the sector.
The sessions will promote co-creation between Dutch and local partners, enhancing knowledge levels and improving coordination.

Knowledge Sharing and Training:

Participants will gain insights into the latest developments in feed technology and alternative protein sources.
The project will include breakout discussions, plenary sessions, and practical demonstrations to ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer.

Follow-up Actions:

The outcomes of each session will be documented and shared with participants and the embassy.
These reports will outline actionable steps, recommendations for future sessions, and strategies to address challenges in the sector.
